DAHI BHINDI

Ingredients:
Bhindi/Bendekayi/Ladies Finger/Okra - 1/2 Kg
Tomato - 2 or Tomato puree - 1 Cup
Green Chilli - 1
Onion - 1/2
Jeera - 1 tsp
Oil - 2 Tbsp
Yogurt/curd - 1/2 Cup
Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt - 1.5 tsp
Coriander cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tsp

Method Of Preparation:
Wash bhindi and pat dry. Make sure there is no water content.


Cut bhindi in half.


Heat 1 Tbsp of oil in a vessel. Fry bhindi pieces well for 5-10 minutes. Keep aside.


Heat remaining 1 Tbsp of oil in the same vessel. When its hot, add jeera. After they splutter, add chopped onions,green chilli and salt. Fry for a minute. Add ginger garlic paste and saute well for 2 minutes. Add tomato puree/chopped tomatoes, chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander-cumin powder. Mix well. Let it cook for 5 minutes.


Add fried bhindi pieces, curd , 1/2 Cup water and mix well. Close the lid and let it cook for 15-20 minutes. Stir in between. 


Serve.
